Simon is an Employment Lawyer at Monkhouse Law. His practice focuses on issues such as wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal, human rights disputes in the workplace, reprisals, regulatory discipline, and bonus plan and other contractual disputes.
Throughout his career, Simon has represented clients in various tribunals/levels of court, such as the Ontario Superior Court, Ministry of Labour, Ontario Labour Relations Board, Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, the Canadian Industrial Relations Board, Small Claims Court, and the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario.
Simon completed his legal studies in the Canadian American Dual JD Program at the University of Windsor and University of Detroit Mercy, and his undergraduate studies in Political Science at the University of Western Ontario. He is a licensed lawyer in Ontario, and a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
Simon is a zealous advocate, and highly passionate about all matters pertaining to employment law. He is also conversationally fluent in Russian.
In his free time, Simon enjoys spending time with his young family, reading a range of fiction and non-fiction literature, and hiking.
Prior to joining Monkhouse Law, Simon practised employment law with a boutique employment law firm in North York.

Gracias v. Dr. David Walt Dentistry, 2022 ONSC 2967 (CanLII), <https://canlii.ca/t/jpbg4>: Trial Decision: Simon was second chair on a trial of a 6 month employee who was accused of not applying to sufficient jobs. Notwithstanding the aggressive tactics of the other side Simon continued to fight for the worker, who was rewarded with a win on every issue, including with 3 months notice.
Nahum v Honeycomb Hospitality Inc., 2021 CanLII 151476 (ON CA), <https://canlii.ca/t/jr0vq>: Appeal Motion: Simon was successful as first-chair in having the Court of Appeal refuse a motion. Because of the result the entire appeal was resolved.
