Farida earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor – Faculty of Law after completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology at York University. During law school, she served as Vice President of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion on the Student Law Society.

She gained extensive experience at Legal Assistance of Windsor, where she spent two terms and completed her articling. There, Farida worked in housing, social benefits, and immigration law, assisting low-income individuals in addressing their legal needs. She has represented numerous clients through both written and oral advocacy before tribunals such as the Landlord and Tenant Board and the Social Benefits Tribunal. After becoming licensed, Farida worked as Tenant Duty Counsel at the Advocacy Centre for Tenants Ontario, where she assisted unrepresented tenants at the Landlord and Tenant Board.

Proud of her Afghan heritage, Farida speaks fluent Farsi. Outside of work, she enjoys creative pursuits like crocheting, scrapbooking, and language learning, as well as staying active through football, swimming, and volleyball. She also has a passion for travel and loves exploring new places—whether close to home or across the world.
