Samuel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Trent University, where he received the Bruce Barrett Memorial Prize for academic achievement in Philosophy. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Lincoln Alexander School of Law, where he participated in several negotiation and mooting competitions. Samuel was called to the Ontario Bar in 2025.

During law school, Samuel also completed a five-month, full-time placement at the Ontario Court of Justice, where he supported judges by conducting legal research, editing draft decisions, and annotating case law. This role provided extensive early exposure to trial proceedings.

Samuel completed both his summer and articling terms at Cavalluzzo LLP, where he contributed to matters in the fields of employment law, class actions, labour law, human rights, professional regulation, and Charter litigation.

Samuel’s commitment to advocating for workers began through his involvement in a union organizing campaign aimed at improving conditions for gig economy workers. Samuel also served as a representative witness in proceedings before the Labour Board concerning the employment status of app-based couriers. Samuel is passionate about using the law to advance justice for workers, promoting systemic improvements in workers’ rights, and assisting workers in securing their entitlements.

Outside the office, Samuel enjoys outdoor pursuits and has a love for problem-solving. His interests include cycling, rock climbing, and strategy games. He is also a self-taught coder.
