Simon is an Associate Employment Lawyer at Monkhouse Law. He received his Juris Doctor from the Lincoln Alexander School of Law, where he received the Technology & Innovation Award, and is a barrister and solicitor licensed by the Law Society of Ontario. During law school, Simon participated in several mooting competitions – including the Labour & Employment Moot and the Kawaskimhon Indigenous Law Moot.
Prior to entering the legal field, Simon spent over a decade working as an adult educator, curriculum designer, and policy researcher, managing training initiatives and educational programs across Canada and internationally. He completed his professional practice placement with the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, where he assisted with criminal prosecutions and provincial offenses. Simon’s legal experience also includes advocate roles at the TMU Legal Clinic, as well as research on truth and reconciliation, neurotechnology, and disability rights.
Outside of work, Simon stays active in tech governance by presenting at academic and industry conferences on technology, workplace, and social issues. He enjoys festive foods with family and friends, bass fishing, and music production.
